6th. Airborne Division (Normandy 'D' Day 6th. June 1944).

Born on 26 January 1903 at Belfast, N.  Ireland.

Died 16 July 1983 at Belfast, N. Ireland - Age 80.

Buried in family grave, Carnmoney Cemetery, Whiteabbey, Belfast.

This photo was taken late summer 1942 as he is wearing his; maroon beret and his Indian Service Medal. He won his M.C in Normandy and later he would also be wearing the 1939/4 Star, the France/Germany Star, the Defence Medal and the 1939/4 War Medal. a total of 6 medals.
